    Description

Is your four legged friend a certified pet therapy animal? Do you enjoy bringing a smile to people's faces?

Aurora at Home Hospice is in need of pet therapy volunteers to visit with patients within facilities. Volunteers spend 30 min - 1 hour with a patient and chit chat, let the patient pet/play/give treats with your pet therapy animal.

Pet therapy can bring out a smile to even the most severe dementia patient. While someone with alzheimer's/dementia may not remember people or events, they can always remember their four-legged friend stopping by.

Your pet must be certified and you must be able to provide a copy of the certificate.

Your training is provided, a background check and health screen are required.

Please contact Lexi Pirman, volunteer coordinator at Lexi.Pirman@aah.org or 920-627-5306 for more information and to apply.
