    Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and program development?

At Sonia’s Faith in Action, our internships provide meaningful opportunities for students and emerging professionals to serve with purpose, grow as leaders, and help advance our mission of turning compassion into action.

    💼 Spring 2026 Internship Program

Our Spring 2026 Internship Cohort runs from January 5 – May 9, 2026 (10–15 hours per week). Interns will work directly with the Executive Director and volunteer leaders to support community outreach, fundraising, and communications efforts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research local and national grants/corporate giving aligned to Sonia's Faith in Action (homelessness support, caregivers of people with cancer, youth service).
    • Draft grant components (org background, needs statements, budgets, logic models, outcomes).
    • Maintain our Grants Tracker: deadlines, status, contacts, reporting requirements.
    • Support donor stewardship: thank-you notes, impact emails, board reports.
    • Pull program data from teammates for proposals and reports.
    • Help plan mini-campaigns (e.g., Giving Tuesday, supply drives).
    • Light prospect research on partners (journals/news mentions, foundation 990s).
    • Create tidy file structures/templates we can reuse.

    Ideal Qualifications:

    • Strong writer/researcher; curious, detail-oriented.
    • Comfort with Google Workspace; basic budgeting in Sheets.
    • Interest in nonprofit fundraising, philanthropy, or public health.

    🕊 What You’ll Gain

    • Mentorship from experienced nonprofit leaders
    • Professional skill-building and résumé experience
    • Flexible, hybrid work options
    • Academic credit (if approved by your school)
