    Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer

    Work Environment: Remote

    Position Summary

    The Assistant HR Director Intern participates in an advanced, hands-on learning experience focused on Human Resources processes, compliance practices, and organizational development within a structured program environment.

    This role provides exposure to HR leadership practices, documentation processes, compliance tracking, and strategic HR initiatives under supervision.

    Participants may engage at different levels within this role based on the program’s tiered structure (Foundational, Intermediate, Advanced), depending on prior experience, engagement, and program needs.

    Learning Focus Areas

    Participants in this role will gain exposure to:

    • Human Resources operations and administrative processes
    • Compliance tracking and HR governance practices
    • HR documentation and policy development
    • Recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning concepts
    • Organizational development and HR strategy

    Program Activities

    Participants may engage in:

    • Assisting with HR documentation and record organization
    • Supporting compliance tracking and HR-related processes
    • Participating in HR reporting and workforce planning activities (for learning purposes)
    • Attending HR meetings and observing planning discussions
    • Supporting onboarding coordination and HR initiatives
    • Communicating questions or observations to HR leadership

    All activities are conducted within a supervised and guided learning environment.

    Leadership Development Component

    This role includes exposure to leadership development by:

    • Participating in HR planning discussions
    • Supporting coordination of HR initiatives
    • Observing HR decision-making and strategic processes

    This is a developmental experience and does not involve independent decision-making authority or supervisory responsibility.

    Participation Expectations

    • Engage consistently in program activities and sessions
    • Maintain communication with program coordinators and leadership
    • Participate in a structured learning environment

    Qualifications

    Education / Background

    Candidates may include:

    • Students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals
    • Individuals seeking experience in Human Resources or organizational development
    • Individuals transitioning into HR-related roles

    Skills & Abilities

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Clear written and verbal communication
    • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
    • Attention to detail
    • Familiarity with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office

    Work Environment

    This is a remote learning environment involving structured sessions, guided activities, and cross-functional collaboration.

    Program Nature

    This position is part of a structured internship program designed for educational and professional development.

    Participation is voluntary and does not constitute employment.

    All activities are for learning purposes and are not used as a substitute for paid work.
