    Description

    Volunteer Outreach & Fundraising Ambassador

Help displaced American children reclaim hope and opportunity

    Why This Matters

If we don’t support these children while they are temporarily outside the United States, they often return home without the education, emotional stability, mental‑health support, or guidance they need to succeed. Without a plan, a support system, or the skills to navigate school and society, they become vulnerable to negative influences and high‑risk situations. Our work ensures they receive the learning, care, and structured guidance necessary to reintegrate as confident, capable, and productive citizens rather than being left adrift in ways that can lead to poor outcomes for both the child and the communities they return to.

    About Us

Dream Across America Foundation supports American children who have become de facto deportees (U.S. citizens compelled to live abroad as minors due to family immigration complications beyond their control). While living outside the United States, many of these children lack access to the stability, resources, and opportunities that should be available to them as Americans.

Our work centers on restoring that stability. We provide high‑quality education, safety resources, basic necessities, and comprehensive medical and mental‑health support. These services create a dependable foundation for each child while they are abroad and prepare them for a strong, confident return home.

Through individualized guidance, structured learning pathways, and consistent emotional support, we help each child rebuild a sense of identity, belonging, and possibility. Our goal is to ensure that when they reenter the United States, they do so with the skills, confidence, and preparation needed to thrive as capable and connected members of their communities.

    Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced outreach and fundraising professional who can help expand our donor network, strengthen community partnerships, and champion our mission with compassion and credibility.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong network and a proven history of building meaningful relationships, someone who wants to use their experience to advance the rights and opportunities of our U.S.-born children as they make their way back home. Individuals with backgrounds in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, or philanthropy will thrive here. Whether you’re a current professional, a semi‑retired leader, or an active philanthropist, your involvement helps ensure this underserved community is not forgotten.

    What You’ll Do

    • Build relationships with potential donors, partners, and community supporters
    • Help shape fundraising strategy for 2026–2027
    • Support outreach for grants, sponsorships, and philanthropic partnerships
    • Introduce the foundation to your network (optional but appreciated)
    • Provide guidance on donor stewardship and development best practices

    Time Commitment

Typically, 2–4 hours per week, remote, and fully adaptable to your schedule.

    Who Thrives in This Role

    • Retired or semi‑retired professionals
    • Former development officers or nonprofit leaders
    • Business owners or community connectors
    • Anyone who wants to use their success to uplift vulnerable children
