Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Every meal saved stays out of the landfill, helping the environment, while also nourishing our community in need.
The volunteer role involves transporting meals from one of our donors in West Long Branch and delivering them to our non-profit community partner in Red Bank.
This volunteering opportunity will be on Fridays starting at 8:30am. Each volunteer task should take approximately 90 minutes including travel time between donor and recipient.
We require volunteers to drive their own car. This opportunity happens weekly and, while we welcome regular participation, we will work with your schedule (volunteer as you wish policy). Insulated bags will be provided to carry food donations.
