Free Orientation & Flexible Scheduling All VITAS volunteers complete a free orientation to learn the skills of hospice volunteering. Veteran Volunteers receive additional training to understand and meet the specific needs of veterans at the end of life. Training is flexible and ongoing.
Why It Matters Veterans deserve to be honored, remembered, and supported. Many enjoy the opportunity to share their stories and receive visits from someone who cares. Your presence can help a veteran feel seen, valued, and not forgotten.
Become a VITAS Veteran Volunteer—because no veteran should face the end of life alone.
