Position Description:

LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a creative Volunteer Interior Designer to design and help set up the Founder & Executive Director’s office inside our new warehouse and operations facility in the Phoenix area.

We are looking for someone who can bring a complete vision to the space — not simply recommend furniture. The right volunteer will help us determine how the office should be laid out, how to best use the available space, what furniture and décor will work together, and help bring the finished design to life.

The goal is to create an executive office that feels polished, elevated, warm, functional, and professional while working within a reasonable nonprofit budget.

Responsibilities include:

• Visit the office and assess the space in person
• Take measurements and determine the best use of the room
• Create the overall design vision and layout
• Determine furniture placement and spacing
• Recommend furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork, storage, window treatments, and décor
• Develop a cohesive color palette and overall aesthetic
• Source affordable furniture and décor options
• Help identify items that can be purchased locally or online
• Incorporate existing pieces where appropriate
• Create a mood board, layout, or visual concept
• Help with the actual setup and styling of the office
• Assist with furniture and décor placement once items arrive
• Make final styling adjustments so the room feels complete

Ideal Candidate:

We welcome interior designers, decorators, home stylists, staging professionals, architecture/design students, and emerging designers with a strong eye for space planning and interiors.

We are especially looking for someone who enjoys taking an unfinished space and transforming it into a complete environment.

This is a volunteer position and one-time project. The project is ready to begin immediately.
