    Description

👉 Volunteer Drivers Needed – Help People in Recovery Get to Work, Treatment & Stability

Uplift Appalachia is seeking volunteer drivers to help transport individuals who are actively working to rebuild their lives in recovery.

Many of the people we serve are attending job training, medical appointments, court, probation check-ins, and work—but lack of transportation is one of the biggest barriers to staying on track. A single missed ride can set someone back significantly.

This is where you come in.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Provide transportation to scheduled appointments (work, treatment, court, etc.)
    • Communicate availability and accept rides that fit your schedule
    • Offer a consistent, supportive presence during rides

    Commitment:

    • Flexible and self-scheduled
    • Even occasional availability makes a meaningful impact
    • No minimum hour requirement

    Qualifications:

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
    • Proof of insurance
    • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
    • Willingness to support individuals in recovery with empathy and consistency

    Not Sure Yet?

We are hosting a Meet & Greet / Info Session so you can learn more before committing:

    At this event, you’ll:

    • Learn how the program works
    • Ask questions
    • Meet others involved
    • Decide if it’s a good fit for you

You are also welcome to ride along first before volunteering independently.

If you’re looking for a way to make a direct, local impact—this is a simple but powerful way to help someone keep moving forward.
