    Description

    Position Description: The Event Project Manager helps make sure that events are organized, consistent, and running smoothly. You wouldn’t necessarily be the person responsible for planning every event from start to finish. Instead, you would support the people leading the events, help them use the right tools and processes, and keep the overall event system organized.

    Estimated time commitment: 1-2 hours per week

    Position responsibilities:

    • Monitor the Women in Science PDX annual events calendar and add Community Engagement events as needed.
    • Support Event Managers and Coordinators with event planning logistics, including Flipcause, Google Meet, internal marketing requests, and other event tools.
    • Provide guidance and training to event leads on event planning processes and tools as needed.
    • Maintain and update event Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Help ensure event planning processes are organized and consistent across Community Engagement events.
    • Attend monthly Community Engagement Committee meetings.
