Short Term Fosters for Guinea Pigs

This is a minimum 2 month committment. The volunteer would house a single or pair of guinea pig at her home and would be responsible for the daily cage cleaning, feeding and handling. We provide the habitat setup and ongoing hay /pellets and vet care when needed. There is no up front cost, just the cost of providing daily fresh greens, we cover the rest. This is great for those needing community service hours such as college programs or honor society students. An application would need to be filled out by a responsible adult and approved by our Foster Coordinator. Past guinea pig experience is preferred, especially Vet Tech or medical back ground. We are strickly foster based so our intake is based on number of fosters- you can make a difference in the life of a small furry!!
