    Volunteer Experience Department

    Part-Time Volunteer Leadership Role | 6-10 hrs/wek | Remote | Missouri-Based Organization

    The Recruitment Program Lead helps grow the organization through relationship-based volunteer recruitment and engagement.

    This role focuses on building systems, supporting volunteers, and helping departments confidently invite new people into the movement. Rather than personally recruiting every volunteer, the Recruitment Program Lead helps create the structure, tools, and culture that make recruitment sustainable across the organization.

    The ideal person for this role enjoys leadership, collaboration, and people-centered organizing. They are comfortable supporting volunteers, improving systems, and coordinating across multiple teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and improve the organization’s volunteer recruitment systems
    • Support and develop recruitment volunteers and regional leaders
    • Coordinate with departments on recruitment needs and public-facing opportunities
    • Help create recruitment materials, workflows, and volunteer guidance
    • Monitor volunteer growth trends and identify areas for improvement
    • Foster a welcoming, relationship-driven recruitment culture

    Ideal Skills & Qualities

    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    • Comfortable supporting and coaching volunteers
    • Organized and able to manage moving parts across teams
    • Enjoys systems thinking and collaborative problem-solving
    • Passion for civic engagement, grassroots organizing, or community-building
    • Leadership or volunteer coordination experience is helpful but not required
