A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) serves as a voice for children who are involved in the juvenile court system in cases of abuse and neglect. Meet with children and the people involved with their care to gather information for a judge to determine the best and safest place for them to live. This is an intense volunteer opportunity that requires an interview, a 30-hour training and a commitment of 18 months or until the child or children are in a safe and permanent home.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life. You do not need to have a legal or social work background to become a CASA - we will train you. Spanish speaking volunteers needed!
Upcoming Training Schedule: Trainings are currently held several times per year. You must be able to attend all or most of the training in order to complete the 30-hour CASA pre-service training requirement. Please contact us for the dates of the next training opportunity.
