Description
The Fostering Connections Group supports families who provide foster care to youth in Anoka County. Foster Care providers can attend a support group provided by staff while youth enjoy time in the nursery/youth rooms, playing games in the gym, or being outside. Fostering connections group volunteers are needed to engage children ages 0-17 in activities within the church building once a month during the daytime or evening groups (5:45-7:30 PM).
Fostering Group Connections Volunteers:
- Join alongside volunteers who would come ready to engage with children of all backgrounds and ages (0-17), playing with young children on the floor of the nursery, being active with older children in the gym or outside, playing with playdough or coloring. Volunteers would be a positive presence for all.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to group to check-in with staff and volunteers and set-up, if needed.
- Volunteers must keep children within their eyesight at all times.
- Volunteers would pass a background check and complete SUID/AHT training.
