    Description

    Days: Wednesdays and Fridays during the school year

    Times: 12:30pm - 3:30pm

    Location: Truck location (Glendora); Three high schools location (West Covina and Covina)

    Physical demands : Volunteers will need to be able to lift up to 30 pounds and be able to climb in and out of a box truck (two steps up to a 4 foot high truck bed). Drivers will need to be able to load and unload 60 - 100 boxes of different sizes and weights.

    Licensing Requirements: Drivers will need a valid Class C license. Drivers should have a clean driving record. Drivers will need to be able to record mileage and perform a daily safety check of the Glendora truck.

    Description of Task: (1) Pick up the truck at our Glendora storage site; (2) Go to 3 high schools in the West Covina/Covina area; (3) Check in with cafeteria staff and load the truck; (4) Deliver food to our Glendora site on Wednesdays and our El Monte site on Fridays; (5) Return the truck to our Glendora storage site; and (6) Text the number of boxes and type of food to the Glendora Food Pantry Assistant.
