    Description

    • Research grant opportunities from NJ State agencies, federal programs, and private foundations
    • Assist with completing and submitting applications through NJ SAGE (System for Administering Grants Electronically)
    • Draft and edit grant narratives, needs statements, program descriptions, and LOIs
    • Prepare supporting documents (budgets, PDFs, attachments, compliance forms)
    • Maintain a simple grant tracker with deadlines, required documents, and submission status
    • Communicate with the Executive Director to gather program information and organizational data
    • Help identify new funding opportunities that align with our mission to support underserved Hispanic and low-income families in New Jersey

    Qualifications

    • Strong writing and research skills
    • Ability to operate or learn grant databases quickly
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines
    • Comfortable working independently in a remote role
    • Passion for community uplift, equity, education access, or social services
    • (Preferred) Experience with grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, or public-sector programs
    • (Preferred) Background in Public Administration, Social Work, Public Health, Education, Nursing, Communications, or a related field

    Additional Details

    • Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 15-20 hours per week
    • Location: Remote (priority for NJ-based volunteers, but not required)
    • Impact: Your work directly supports Hispanic and low-income families through programs in education, family support, and community empowerment
    • Verification: We provide volunteer hour verification, letters of recommendation, and resume-building experience
