    Description

The Texas Railway Preservation Association (TRPA) is seeking a technical and creative Digital Infrastructure & Narrative Officer. Reporting directly to the Director of Brand Strategy & Retail Operations, you will serve as the lead architect of our digital presence.

In this volunteer leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our online "Foundry"—our website and social media ecosystem—is as robust, high-performing, and visually compelling as the industrial artifacts we preserve. This is a unique opportunity for a digital specialist to build a high-fidelity legacy within a rising Houston institution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Web Systems Stewardship: Provide primary administration for trpahouston.org and social media pages. You will manage backend updates, security protocols, and site performance to ensure a seamless experience for our global audience and donor base.
    • Narrative Deployment: Execute the social media "tempo" as defined by the Brand Director. You will be the hands-on creator responsible for deploying our "Blue Ambient" aesthetic across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
    • Digital Archive Management: Organize and maintain the TRPA digital asset vault. You will ensure that high-resolution photography and video from our restoration sorties are professionally cataloged and ready for institutional use.
    • E-Commerce & Donation Integration: Assist the Brand Department in the technical upkeep of our digital storefront and donation portals, ensuring frictionless transactions for our supporters and sneakerheads alike.
    • Search & Analytics Oversight: Monitor SEO performance and digital engagement metrics, providing the Director with data-driven insights to help expand TRPA’s reach.

    Professional Requirements

    • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with WordPress or Shopify administration and professional-grade social media management.
    • Content Creation Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Lightroom and Premiere) or high-end mobile editing suites to maintain our "Industrial Power" visual standard.
    • Organizational Discipline: The ability to manage a "Digital Archive" with museum-grade precision.
    • Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a departmental structure, taking strategic cues from leadership and turning them into a high-performance digital reality.
    • Mission Alignment: A genuine interest in Texas industrial history and a desire to use your digital skills to bring the SP 982 back to the public eye.

    The TRPA Advantage

You won't just be "posting content"; you will be building the digital infrastructure of a future landmark. Working under the Director of Brand Strategy, you will receive clear professional direction while having the autonomy to master the systems that tell the TRPA story to the world.

Join the TRPA. Engineer the Narrative.
