    Board Treasurer - Pupcycled

    Organization Description

    Pupcycled is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization specializing in creating eco-friendly dog toys by repurposing recycled clothing materials. Our mission is to improve the lives of dogs while promoting environmental sustainability. As a growing organization, we take pride in our inventive approach to reducing waste and supporting pets. Pupcycled combines creativity and compassion to positively impact both animals and the planet.

    Role Description

    The Board Treasurer at Pupcycled is a volunteer position conducted remotely. The Treasurer will oversee the organization’s financial management, ensuring transparent and accurate tracking of finances. Responsibilities include preparing and managing budgets, monitoring financial statements, providing financial reports to the board, and assisting with financial planning. The Treasurer will also play an important advisory role, ensuring compliance with all financial standards and assisting in crafting strategies for sustainability and growth.

    Qualifications

    • Strong understanding of Financial Statements and Accounting principles
    • Experience with Financial Planning and Budgeting processes
    • Knowledge and experience in Finance and nonprofit financial management
    • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work remotely
    • Comfortable providing financial guidance and reports to a board of directors
    • Experience with financial compliance and nonprofit finance is a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
    • Commitment to Pupcycled’s mission and an interest in animals and the environment
