Summer Science Camp mentor

Help youth ages 5-14 explore the wonders of science and challenge themselves with project-based learning! Pittsburgh Science Workshop provides exciting science + engineering + creative enrichment at partnering Summer camps around the city. Volunteers are needed to ensure that all youth get the support they need to have a joyful and successful experience. The ideal candidate will love working with children and giving back to the community. Experience with science or creative fields is helpful but not required. It's most important to be curious, kind, enthusiastic, and up for an adventure!

Camp locations are different every day of the week and include locations on the Northside, Upper Hill, South Hills, and McKees Rocks. Some camp visits are 9am-3pm others are just in the morning or afternoon. It is fine to help out for part of a day. We can provide a complete schedule when you reach out for your volunteer intake.
