📌 Position Summary
The Administrative Support Coordinator provides essential behind-the-scenes support to ensure the smooth operation of My New House's housing and case management programs. This volunteer assists with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, mailing applications, updating records, and coordinating communications with case workers. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy organization, attention to detail, and supporting a mission-driven organization that serves vulnerable individuals and families.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Enter new client cases and updates into organizational databases.
- Prepare, organize, and mail housing applications and supporting documents.
- File and maintain electronic and physical client records.
- Review administrative paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Respond to communications from case workers regarding case status, documentation, and follow-up needs.
- Assist with organizing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Support office projects and administrative initiatives as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and organizational information.
- Help ensure records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
✅ Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor's degree in business administration, social work, human services, public administration, or a related field or be currently enrolled in a related degree program.
- Must reside in Los Angeles County.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable using computers, email, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Professional communication skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.

My New House may provide complimentary taxi transportation to and from volunteer shifts for eligible volunteers. To qualify, volunteers must reside within Los Angeles County and coordinate transportation arrangements in advance with the organization.
