    Description

We are seeking a Community Partnerships Coordinator to help build and nurture relationships with marinas, vendors, youth organizations, and local businesses. This role is central to expanding our network of collaborators and ensuring that every activation reflects our mission of ecological and cultural stewardship.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and engage potential partners across marinas, food service providers, artisan vendors, and youth organizations.
    • Support MDBA Board initiatives by coordinating partnership outreach and communications.
    • Develop and maintain a partnership map of active and vacant spaces for future activations.
    • Collaborate with the Ecosystem Crew to integrate partners into retreats and market programming.
    • Draft clear, branded outreach materials (emails, guides, signage) to reinforce ASCENDtials’ identity.
    • Represent ASCENDtials at community meetings, activations, and board sessions.

    Who You Are

    • Passionate about community building, ecological resilience, and cultural storytelling.
    • Skilled communicator—able to craft outreach that is warm, professional, and inviting.
    • Organized and proactive, with experience in partnership development or community engagement.
    • Comfortable working across diverse settings: marinas, markets, retreats, and board meetings.

    What You’ll Gain

    • Leadership experience in nonprofit partnership development and board-level collaboration.
    • Opportunities to connect with marinas, vendors, and youth organizations across San Diego.
    • Recognition through appreciation letters and leadership pathways within ASCENDtials.
    • A chance to shape a transportable, narrative-driven model for community resilience.
