    Description

🔎 Behind every public figure we hold accountable is a volunteer who found them first.

About Us The Pro-Truth Pledge (PTP) is a science-backed nonprofit dedicated to fighting misinformation and restoring integrity to public discourse. We mobilize everyday citizens to hold politicians, journalists, and media figures accountable to a set of evidence-based honesty behaviors — grounded in peer-reviewed behavioral science research. Our global volunteer network is the engine that powers this mission.

Position Summary As a PTP Researcher, you'll be the behind-the-scenes force that expands the reach of the Pro-Truth Pledge. Using online tools and public directories, you'll identify and compile contact information for high-priority candidates, public intellectuals, and media figures — giving our outreach team everything they need to make the ask.

    • Organize findings into structured spreadsheets, checking for duplicates and data accuracy
    • Prioritize targets based on public visibility and influence
    • Hand off research packages to the Outreach Liaison team on a regular basis

    Skills

    • Detail-oriented with strong online research skills
    • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data organization tools
    • Self-directed and able to work independently on ongoing tasks
    • Interest in politics, media, or civic accountability a plus

    Benefits

    • Develop professional research and data management skills
    • Play a foundational role in expanding PTP's accountability network
    • Work flexibly on your own schedule from anywhere
