The American Heart Association is excited to announce a call for volunteers for our 2026 Vermont Heart Walk! This year's walk is scheduled for Saturday, June 20 at Delta Dental Diamond at Centennial Field (home of the Vermont Lake Monsters) This event is widely attended by members of the community, heart disease and stroke survivors, local businesses, and friends of the organization.
What is a Heart Walk? Cardiovascular disease occurs every 39 seconds and is the No. 1 killer of all Americans. Heart disease also kills more women than all forms of cancer combined. And congenital cardiovascular defects are the most common cause of infant death from birth defects. When you join a local Heart Walk, you join more than a million people in 300+ cities across America in taking a stand against heart disease and helping save lives!
We're looking for help with event set up, breakdown, engaging with event guests, and leading our interactive activities. Volunteer responsibilities include setting up tables, hanging banners and signage, manning activity tables, handing out water, and cheering on walkers as they complete their laps!
