Saint Therese of Oxbow - Salon Escort

Volunteers provide support and assistance for Saint Therese Salon stylists when providing haircuts and care for Saint Therese residents. The Salon exists to provide Saint Therese residents with convenient hair care options right on campus.

Responsibilities:

• Bring residents to and from their rooms to the Salon for appointments
• Assist stylist, as requested with tasks in the Salon
• Assist with Salon laundry
• Keep the area neat and clean by sweeping or performing other cleaning tasks

Abilities required:

• Enjoy talking with residents
• Able to push wheelchairs safely throughout the facility
• Able to operate the elevator including use of on and off switches
• Able to locate the resident’s name and room number to escort them back to their room
• Able to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Able to understand state laws protecting vulnerable adults and reporting mandates
• Able to follow health and safety instructions.
