MBIC Fundraising Volunteer Opportunity

Join our mission at MBIC Clubhouse as a Fundraising Volunteer and play a critical role in securing the resources necessary to support our diverse and vibrant community. MBIC serves a wide range of individuals, including those recovering from brain injuries, living with cognitive declines such as Alzheimer's or autism, and facing various physical disabilities. Beyond cognitive and physical support, we extend our services to meet the basic needs of our members, providing food, toiletries, case management, and more. Our goal is to ensure no individual goes without the essentials, regardless of their financial situation.

The Importance of This Role

Our organization is a lifeline for many who have limited to no resources. As a contracted provider for the State of Illinois, we face delays in remittance, creating gaps between our funding and our operational needs. The individuals we serve rely on us not just for rehabilitation and social engagement but also for their basic day-to-day needs and empowerment through education and community outings. This role is not just about fundraising; it’s about bridging the gap between need and support, ensuring our members can thrive.

Volunteer Responsibilities

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will:

• Utilize your networking skills to tap into various groups, including corporations, workplaces, schools, and churches, to raise funds and in-kind donations.
• Be creative and self-directed in organizing fundraising activities, whether on a grassroots or corporate level, to support the multifaceted needs of our Clubhouse.
• Spread awareness about MBIC's mission and the critical support we provide to our community, engaging potential donors and sponsors in our cause.
• Assist in identifying and securing resources that can help cover everything from program costs to basic necessities for our members.
