Nonprofit
Software Engineer / Database Platform Builder
Details
Description
Hope For Youth is seeking a volunteer software engineer, web developer, or low-code/no-code platform builder to create a simple, centralized database for our Development team. We need a practical, user-friendly tool to organize donor and volunteer information in one place—not a complex customer relationship management (CRM) system.
WHAT WE NEED BUILT
Central Homepage
A clear, searchable list of donor and volunteer profiles.
Individual Profiles
A place to store contact information, group or organizational affiliations, and notes.
Activity History
A simple way to document donations, volunteer activities, event participation, and other involvement with Hope For Youth.
Easy Record Management
The ability to add, edit, search, and maintain profiles.
Basic Data Security
Appropriate user access controls and secure handling of donor and volunteer information.
WHAT WE DON'T NEED
We do not need automated reports, email marketing, social media integrations, or extensive CRM automation. We are open to recommendations for the right technology, whether a low-code platform or a simple custom application, as long as the solution is easy to use, cost-effective, and manageable by our team.
IDEAL VOLUNTEER
We are looking for someone with experience in software engineering, web development, database design, or low-code/no-code tools. The ideal volunteer has strong problem-solving skills and an interest in using technology to support a nonprofit organization.
The project scope and timeline can be determined collaboratively with our Development team. Basic documentation or staff training to support ongoing use and maintenance would be appreciated.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH YOUR SKILLS
Your skills can help us build stronger relationships with the donors and volunteers who support our mission, allowing our team to spend more time advancing Hope For Youth's work with children, youth, and families.
