    Description

    Digital Media & Marketing Associate

    Position Title: Digital Media and Marketing Associate Volunteer

    Location: Virtual (90% of the time) In-person only during events (which take place monthly on a Saturday)

    Duration: 7 months, on average 5-8 hours per week. (April - October 2026)

    Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Digital Media and Marketing Associate. In this role, you will work closely with our Deputy Director to develop and implement digital marketing strategies aimed at increasing our online presence, engaging with our audience, and promoting our events, specifically our WE ARE NATURE Series.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create and curate engaging content for our website, blog, social media channels, and email newsletters.
    • Manage and update content on our organization's website to ensure it remains current and relevant.
    • Develop and execute social media campaigns to increase followers, drive engagement, and promote events, initiatives, and fundraising efforts.
    • Monitor social media channels and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist in the design and production of digital marketing materials such as graphics, videos, and infographics.
    • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
    • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm new ideas and strategies for reaching and connecting with our target audience.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital media and marketing.

    Qualifications:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and analytics.
    • Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content and marketing campaigns.
    • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
    • Knowledge of SEO principles and techniques is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Enthusiasm for our organization's mission and values.
