Your commitment is very flexible. I will work with you to set a schedule that works best for you! Volunteers see patients as often as four times a month or as little as two times a month, usually 1 to 2 hours per visit. It's what you can offer!!!

Is 2026 the year that you make a difference? Do you feel that life seems to have a greater purpose when you volunteer your time and your heart to help others?

Volunteer opportunities are available at Gentiva Hospice to provide friendly visits to patients and/or their families at local healthcare facilities or in their personal homes in many different areas. Volunteers are there to listen and talk, read a book, play cards or watch a favorite t.v. show. Volunteers also provide special support including playing music, letter writing , journaling or working on craft projects. No matter what your skills, talents or motivation, we have the opportunity for you to help!

*Companionship volunteers do not perform any clinical activities with a patient such as feeding, toileting, bathing or transferring.* Volunteers schedule their own visits- day/time. * Volunteers receive training that fits into your busy schedule.
