Description
Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:
- Opening the program space for Wednesday distribution
- Greeting families and individuals with kindness and respect
- Providing new participants with the intake form
- Making sure forms are completed properly
- Helping identify the correct sizes for underwear and bras
- Checking whether a family has already received supplies for the year
- Preparing and distributing the proper amount of hygiene products
- Helping keep supplies organized and the space welcoming
- Protecting the privacy and dignity of every participant
Ideal Volunteers Are:
- Compassionate and respectful
- Dependable and organized
- Comfortable working with people from different backgrounds
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Patient, welcoming, and nonjudgmental
- Bilingual or multilingual volunteers are especially helpful
Languages Helpful But Not Required:
Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole.
