    Description

    Become a Reading Mentor at Hogan

    Read with a student once or twice a week. You donate half an hour once or twice a week - no evenings or weekends! Apply online, complete a short online training session, and get paired with a student. Not sure you can make a weekly commitment? Sign up with a partner to share the volunteer experience, or become a Flextra "Flexible Reading Mentor" and attend a couple sessions each month.

    Lead to Read KC is dedicated to improving the basic literacy skills of children in high need schools. Launched in 2011, we connect nearly 1,600 elementary students with adult reading mentors in more than 90 classrooms across the metropolitan area each week. Learn more at leadtoreadkc.org.
