Get Ready to Change Lives as a Patient Enrollment Screener!

Join our team as a Volunteer Patient Enrollment Aide and be a part of something truly special! We're seeking individuals with excellent communication and organizational skills to help us deliver exceptional care to our patients.

At LVIM, we are dedicated to providing free medical, dental, and mental healthcare services to the working uninsured in Polk County. By enrolling patients and ensuring they meet eligibility requirements, you will play a vital role in connecting individuals with the care they need. This is an opportunity for those who thrive on challenges, enjoy problem-solving, and have a deep sense of responsibility to positively contribute to their community.

You will be the first point of contact, extending a warm and welcoming hand to patients seeking medical care. By conducting one-on-one interviews, you will have the chance to use your exceptional listening, communication, and organizational skills to ensure patients meet established eligibility requirements and have the necessary enrollment documentation.

    Benefits of volunteering:

    • Discover the satisfaction of actively supporting a vital community service.
    • Cultivate valuable hands-on experience in a medical setting.
    • Work in a supportive and collaborative team environment.
    • Develop new interests and gain a deeper understanding of your own strengths and values.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct interviews with prospective patients both over the phone and in person to assess their eligibility for services.
    • Guide patients through the enrollment process addressing their inquiries and concerns, and providing necessary guidance.
    • Collect and review enrollment documentation to ensure patients have the required paperwork.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, offering a warm and welcoming experience.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Basic computer proficiency.
