Description
Victim Services Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (VSC), a nonprofit organization serving Montgomery County, Pennsylvania since 1974, is seeking Community Outreach Volunteers to help raise awareness of services available to survivors of sexual violence and other crimes.
Volunteers will represent VSC at community events, resource fairs, and outreach opportunities, as well as help distribute agency materials to local businesses, organizations, and community partners. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about community engagement, advocacy, and connecting individuals impacted by crime to supportive resources.
All volunteers are required to complete a training covering ethics, confidentiality, agency services, Sexual Violence 101, and how to connect survivors to appropriate resources. This training is designed to equip volunteers with the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully fulfill their role.
A $30 training fee is required for each participant.
