    Description

Hospice Vigil Volunteer - Plymouth Area

Are you seeking to make a difference in the lives of others?

We believe patients and families deserve as much support as possible at the end of life. When signs and symptoms indicate a patient is approaching their final days, our Voyage Vigil Program increases our caregiver presence at the bedside when we are needed the most.

As a vigil volunteer you can enrich the lives of terminally ill patients in your community by providing a calm and caring presence at the end of life. This presence brings comfort and emotional support to both patients and their families. Visits take place at the patient’s residence, which may be their own home, an assisted living facility, or a skilled nursing facility. Hours are extremely flexible.

I am more than happy to answer any questions via email, phone or in person. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me. My name is Tara Van Berkom. My phone number is 612-477-4952, and my email is tvanberkom@stcroixhospice.com.
