Commitment Details:
Daytime, weekdays, weekends – fall, winter, and spring. For grooming, must have the flexibility to be available potentially on last minute notice. If grooming, prior knowledge of cross-country ski trail grooming helpful but not required.

The mountain road up to Crystal Lake can have bad winter conditions. We strongly recommend that volunteers have 4-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, snow tires and/or chains to make it up the mountain. Crystal Lake is not responsible for assisting anyone
Description
Supports the stewardship of two different locations in Wiliamsport, PA.
- Assist with trail clearing
a. Clear downed branches and debris
b. Lop larger branches and bushes
- Assist with ongoing maintenance of the trails
a. Fill in holes and ruts
b. Widen the trail with a sickle bar mower
- Assist with trail signage
a. Hang trail signs in locations where needed
b. Suggest new locations for signs to improve navigation for guests
- Assist with trail grooming in preparation for skiing
a. On the grooming snowmobile, pack and track the trails
