    Who We Are

    Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) is an established nonprofit that brings a multidisciplinary approach to human rights and seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and the wider public. We educate through facts, advocate using our research findings, and take action to implement change.

    Who You Are

    We are seeking a skilled and innovative Volunteer Web Developer to help maintain and enhance our online presence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building user-friendly websites, optimizing performance, and creating digital experiences that reflect our mission.

    What You’ll Do

    • Maintain and update our website to ensure functionality, accessibility, and brand consistency
    • Implement new features and improvements to enhance user experience
    • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to integrate multimedia content and campaign materials
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure site security
    • Optimize website for SEO and mobile responsiveness
    • Assist in creating landing pages and microsites for special initiatives
    • Provide guidance on best practices for web design and development
    • Work with our current platform (Wix) and explore options for migrating to another web hosting platform if needed

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated interest in human rights, social justice, or related fields.
    • Experience with web development tools and platforms (e.g., Wix, HTML/CSS, JavaScript)
    • Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to collaborate in a virtual, fast-paced nonprofit environment
    • Knowledge of SEO principles and basic analytics is a plus
