WSPEC, a global non-profit, is accelerating the realization of a space elevator through targeted STEAM competitions. We are seeking a skilled legal professional to provide Pro Bono Counsel on a volunteer basis. Your expertise will be critical in navigating the legal landscape, protecting our organization, and enabling us to build partnerships that advance our mission.

We're seeking a dedicated Volunteer Legal Counsel to support our mission by providing legal guidance that helps our organization grow responsibly and effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed attorney who is passionate about making an impact through service while supporting innovation in space exploration, technology, and STEAM education.

What You'll Do

• Advise leadership on nonprofit governance, compliance, and legal best practices.
• Review, draft, and provide guidance on contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Offer counsel on intellectual property, corporate, and other legal matters as needed.
• Help identify potential legal risks and recommend practical solutions to protect the organization.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure organizational policies and practices align with applicable laws and regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Licensed attorney in good standing.
• Experience in nonprofit law, corporate law, intellectual property, or a related legal field.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance.
• Passion for advancing space exploration, technology, and STEAM education through volunteer service.
