About Arturo Healing Hearts
Founded by 15-year-old violinist Ava Silva Costa, Arturo Healing Hearts is a youth-led nonprofit that brings live solo music into hospitals across New Jersey. Our volunteers perform short, quiet sets for patients, families, and healthcare staff—turning hospital rooms into small spaces of calm, connection, and compassion.
Volunteer Role:
Perform 10–15-minute sets in local hospitals (oncology, pediatric, rehabilitation units). Students can also help organize music drives, create playlists, or design cards for patients.
Time Commitment:
Flexible, 1–2 hours monthly, with verified community-service hours provided.
Who Can Apply:
High school students who play an instrument or have a passion for the arts and empathy.
