    Description

❤️ Change a Life Today — Become a Hospice of the Valley Volunteer

Someone in our community needs a caring presence right now — and that someone could be you.

At Hospice of the Valley, our greatest need is for volunteers who offer companionship to patients and provide much-needed relief to family caregivers. Your presence is more than helpful — it is a gift of comfort, dignity, and human connection.

You’re Never Alone in This Work

We ensure every volunteer feels confident, prepared, and supported. From your first day and throughout your journey, you will receive:

    • Comprehensive training before you begin

    • Ongoing guidance from experienced staff

    • Continuous support whenever you need it

    • Thoughtful supervision to help you feel comfortable and confident in your role

Whether you’re new to volunteering or have prior experience, we walk alongside you every step of the way.

    What You Can Do

    Share simple, meaningful moments by:

    • Visiting and providing companionship

    • Reading, talking, or singing together

    • Running small errands

    • Sitting with a patient so caregivers can rest

    • Listening and offering comfort

Sometimes, the most powerful gift you can give is simply being there.

    What Makes This Different

This is not about tasks — it’s about presence.

Your time creates calm in stressful moments, reassurance during uncertainty, and connection when it is needed most.

You will see relief on a caregiver’s face.

You will feel the peace your presence brings.

You will know you made today easier for someone.

    Is Something Happening Right Now?

Yes. Families are caring for loved ones today and need a moment to breathe. Patients are hoping for conversation, comfort, and companionship.

Your time and talents can help immediately — and we’ll make sure you feel supported every step of the way.

Can You See It? Can You Feel It?

Picture a caregiver finally taking a break, knowing their loved one is not alone.

Imagine holding someone’s hand while they share their story.

Feel the quiet gratitude in the room.

    💛 Give from the heart.

It may be one of the most meaningful and fulfilling experiences of your life.
