Description
Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, is a 129-year-old settlement house widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers. Founded in 1894 as a free kindergarten for immigrant children, the Neighborhood House now serves 16,000 people in need each year through a wide array of effective and integrated services--social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness.
We are seeking volunteers to assist our Food Services staff in serving healthy and delicious meals to unhoused people living at our Women's shelter in the Park Avenue Armory at 643 Park Avenue. The time commitment for volunteering is a recurring one hour per week shift serving breakfast lunch, or dinner.
