    Description

    Vigil and Respite Hospice Volunteer

    The Vigil Volunteer is a member of the interdisciplinary team with a desire to support patients and families in the Hospice program by being present with patients when they are actively dying, in the final 24-48 hours of life. This opportunity requires the individual to:

    1. Provide emotional support to Hospice patients and/or caregivers
    2. Provide presence at the bedside during the final hours
    3. Report concerns or changes to the Hospice Team

    TIME REQUIRED: Available on an "on-call" basis for a period of 2-4 hours
