    Description

    Amber Hospice is seeking pet therapy volunteers with certified therapy animals to provide comfort and companionship to hospice patients. These trained animals offer emotional support, reduce stress, and help alleviate feelings of isolation and anxiety. Their presence promotes relaxation and overall well-being, creating meaningful connections during a challenging time.

    Requirements:

    • Current dog health record (DHLPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and fecal tests)
    • Therapy animal certification
    • Certified liability insurance policy
    • Willingness to visit patients in private residences, assisted living facilities, and/or nursing homes

    Amber Hospice provides comprehensive training and orientation to support you in working with hospice patients. Please reach out to join our team and help us make a difference!

    Directions

    We are currently seeking compassionate volunteers across Metro Detroit (Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties) as well as the Saginaw / Great Lakes Bay Region.

    Although our office is located in Novi, we proudly serve patients and families throughout the surrounding communities. Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas to help provide comfort, companionship, and support.
