    Help with life-saving blood drives - New Bern, NC

    Blood Donor Ambassador – Help Save Lives at Local Blood Drives

    Be the friendly face that guides donors, supports lifesaving blood drives, and makes a real impact in your community.

    Blood drives rely on volunteers to ensure every donor has a safe, smooth, and welcoming experience. As a Blood Donor Ambassador, you’ll assist with registration, appointment flow, refreshments, and overall donor support—helping to make every donation life-saving.

    What Volunteers Do

    • Greet and register blood donors
    • Maintain appointment flow and monitor donor reactions
    • Assist at the canteen (refreshments) and donor check-out
    • Remind donors of future appointments and assist with registrations
    • Provide excellent customer service and a positive experience for all donors

    Requirements

    • Age 16+
    • Willingness and ability to complete training shifts and two or more blood drive shifts per month for at least three months
    • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs throughout the blood drive
    • Background check, orientation, and valid driver’s license required

    Time Commitment

    • A few hours per month
    • Weekday and weekend shifts (daytime)
    • Recurring opportunities based on availability
