    Description

2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Planning Committee

Is giving back to the community on your list of goals for 2026 or have you been thinking about how you can create a positive impact in your community?

You can make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's by joining the Volunteer Walk Committee for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. We are looking for volunteers for the North County Walk and the San Diego Walk.

Join a group of caring volunteers that is passionate about the cause and ending Alzheimer's. The committee meets virtually (for now) for approximately 4-6 meetings throughout the year. You can choose to focus on your area(s) of interest or expertise to serve on one of three planning committees:

    • Executive Leadership Team - Help connect us with new company partners for sponsorships and company teams.
    • Community Engagement Committee - Help recruit back last years teams through calls and recruit new teams to join the Walk event.
    • Event Experience Committee - Help find "free" entertainment for along the route, in-kind donations and recruit volunteers to help for the day of the Walk.

Whether you can only spare a few hours or make a more significant time commitment, we hope you will consider joining this very special community.

For more information, please reach out to Mandy Shefman, Walk Manager at mlshefman@alz.org.
