    Description

    Youth Humanitarian Journalist (Volunteer)

    We are seeking passionate and socially conscious young volunteers to join our team as Youth Humanitarian Journalists. This role is designed for students who are interested in storytelling, media, and making a meaningful impact by highlighting humanitarian issues from their own communities and experiences.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Identify and develop compelling humanitarian stories based on local communities and personal observations
      • Conduct interviews and gather insights from individuals affected by or involved in humanitarian efforts
      • Capture and curate photos and video clips that support storytelling
      • Produce short video-based stories and digital content for publication on GYP platforms
      • Collaborate with the GYP team to refine content and ensure quality and accuracy

    What We’re Looking For:

      • Strong interest in journalism, storytelling, or media production
      • Curiosity about social issues, global challenges, and humanitarian work
      • Basic skills in writing, photography, or video creation (training/guidance can be provided)
      • Initiative, creativity, and a willingness to engage with real-world issues
      • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
