Description
Hospice volunteers play a vital role in supporting patients, families, and the hospice care team. Volunteers may choose to serve in one of two meaningful ways:
- In-Office Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, organizing supplies, preparing mailings, or making supportive phone calls.
- Patient Care Support: Provide companionship, emotional support, and a comforting presence to patients and families in their homes or care facilities. This may include reading aloud, sitting quietly, listening, or helping with light activities.
Whether behind the scenes or at the bedside, hospice volunteers help bring dignity, compassion, and comfort to those facing life’s final journey. Training is provided-no medical experience required, just a caring heart and a willingness to serve.
