Prevent waste & stop furniture from going to the landfill!

Furniture Repair Bank is a nonprofit effort that rescues worn, torn, and broken furniture from ending up in the landfill, restores its value and beauty, and provides it to people in need. Watch our video to learn more about our organization: Furniture Repair Bank feature on Seattle Channel

We conduct furniture collection events at the North and South Transfer Stations three times monthly on Fridays or Saturdays, preventing furniture waste at the source. Dates will vary each month. Our truck, tents, and volunteers will be stationed outside the transfer station to divert residents who are planning to throw away usable furniture. Volunteer responsibilities include communicating the program to people lined up in their vehicles, and/or offloading furniture from the customer's vehicle.

Volunteers may join for the collection events on-site at the Transfer Stations for a morning or afternoon shift. Sign up with a friend to make it social!
