Position Summary
Sante Imanite is seeking a strategic, collaborative leader to serve as Vice Chair of our Executive Board. The Vice Chair works in close partnership with the Board Chair to provide leadership, governance, and strategic direction. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to mentor board members, spearhead special committees, and prepare for potential future governance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership Succession: Partner with the Board Chair to lead meetings and assume all leadership duties in the Chair’s absence.
- Committee Oversight: Oversee and coordinate the activities of internal board committees (e.g., Fundraising, Governance).
- Strategic Governance: Guide long-term strategic planning, policy development, and global mission advancement.
- Fundraising Advocacy: Act as a leading ambassador to secure donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships.
- Fiduciary Accountability: Fulfill the annual $250 Give-or-Get requirement and champion 100% board participation.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of executive, senior management, or prior nonprofit board experience.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to manage teams, facilitate meetings, and drive strategic initiatives.
- Digital Literacy: High comfort level with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace).
- Mission Commitment: Deep passion for global health equity and humanitarian aid.
Financial Commitment (Give-or-Get Policy)
- Annual Policy: We utilize a "Give-or-Get" financial model for all executive board members.
- Minimum Tier: Each member is responsible for a minimum baseline of $250 annually.
- Flexibility: You can fulfill this by making a personal donation ("give") or by securing equivalent contributions from external donors, corporate match programs, online peer-to-peer fundraisers, or sponsors ("get").
Time Commitment & Term
- Term Length: Two-year renewable term.
- Meeting Schedule: Attendance at quarterly board meetings, held 100% virtually via video conference.
- Monthly Dedication: Approximately 4–6 hours per month, including committee work and administrative duties.
- Location: Fully Remote / Virtual.
