    Description

    PURPOSE: The primary function of the Mobile Medical Clinic (MMC) Crew Chief to provide oversight for the operation and maintenance of the mobile medical clinic

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Drive the MMC to and from the assigned event/clinic site.
    • Strictly observe Washington State traffic laws.
    • Park and set up vehicle at designated location.
    • Prepare the MMC for return to its permanent storage spot.
    • Keep the mobile clinic fueled.
    • Assist in on-site preparation of the MMC prior to clinic or promotional events.
    • Inspect the MMC prior to departure and upon return to its storage location.
    • Watch and maintain all engine fluid levels on the unit including water and oil.
    • Ensure exterior of unit is washed and cleaned as needed.
    • Maintain waste and potable water on unit, routinely empty or fill as needed.
    • Perform minor repairs i.e. door hinges, stairway malfunctions power cord issues
    • Identify and report any maintenance issues.
    • Coordinate major repairs with shop: brakes, annual service, hydraulics, generator ect
    • Training and supervision of other volunteers, as needed.
    • Strictly observe patient confidentiality laws and regulations.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education: High School diploma or GED
    • Experience: a minimum of six months driving a large RV. Class A or B. Mechanical experience helpful but not required.
    • Proficiencies: Ability to recognize potential problems with mobile clinic and report to supervisor.
    • Abilities: Dependable, able to take initiative

    TRAINING PROVIDED: Training with a current Mobile Medical Clinic Driver will be provided.
