    Job Title: Grant Writer Assistant

    Compensation: $10/hour

    Hours: Up to 15 hours per week

    Location: Remote

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Grant Writer Assistant to support grant research, writing, and submission efforts. This is an independent contractor role ideal for someone looking to gain experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or grant writing while working in a flexible, remote environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources
    • Assist in drafting and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents
    • Maintain a database of grant prospects, deadlines, and submission statuses
    • Gather organizational data, statistics, and program information for proposals
    • Ensure all grant applications are complete, accurate, and submitted on time
    • Assist with reporting requirements and follow-up communications with funders
    • Organize and maintain digital files related to grant activities

    Qualifications

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent research and organizational abilities
    • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
    • Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, or similar tools
    • Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, or grant writing (preferred)

    Work Arrangement

    • Up to 15 hours per week based on workload and availability
    • Schedule to be agreed upon with lead grant writer
    • Remote work environment

    Compensation

    • $10 per hour
    • Paid based on hours worked (timesheet or agreed tracking method)
