    Description

    The Dominique Lamb Committee for Real Change, supporting Dominique Lamb’s candidacy for Prince George’s County Council (District 6), is seeking community volunteers interested in supporting local civic engagement and community outreach efforts.

    Volunteers help connect residents with information about local issues, community events, and opportunities to participate in the democratic process across District 6.

    District 6 communities include Mitchellville, District Heights, Capitol Heights, Forestville, Largo, Kettering, and Woodmore.

    Individuals interested in public service, civic engagement, communications, or grassroots community work are encouraged to apply.

    Volunteer Opportunities

    Volunteers may participate in one or more areas based on interest and availability:

    Community Outreach (Canvassing & Door Knocking)

    • Distribute informational materials
    • Engage respectfully with community members
    • Support neighborhood outreach activities throughout District 6 communities

    Phone & Text Outreach

    • Assist with outreach calls or messages
    • Share publicly available campaign information
    • Help provide reminders about events and community activities

    Events & Community Engagement

    • Assist with town halls, meet-and-greets, and community events
    • Support event setup and coordination
    • Welcome and assist attendees

    Digital Communications

    • Support social media outreach
    • Help share public announcements
    • Assist with online engagement efforts

    Operations & Administrative Support

    • Data entry and organizational support
    • Volunteer coordination assistance
    • General campaign administration

    Leadership Opportunities Available

    Volunteers who demonstrate interest and commitment can apply to serve in peer leadership roles such as:

    • Volunteer Team Lead – Help coordinate small volunteer groups and support communication during events and outreach.
    • Digital Media Volunteer Lead – Support coordination of volunteer-driven social media and online outreach efforts.
