    Description

    BECOME A VOLUNTEER CHILD ADVOCATE

Our volunteers work one-on-one with unaccompanied migrant children to connect with them and advocate for their rights.

We have some basic requirements to volunteering with us:

    • Must be at least 21 years old
    • Speak a language other than English
    • Preference for Spanish and Central American Indigenous Languages
    • We ask they have access to a car to get to meetings with the child
    • Complete background checks

We will be hosting an in-person Volunteer Child Advocate training in April in Washington, DC. However, if you are not able to attend the training, please still apply as we will have multiple trainings every year in both virtual and in-person formats. Our next virtual training will be in the summer of 2026.
